Max Arfsten, Middlesbrough and Columbus Crew

Middlesbrough are finalising a transfer for United States wing-back Max Arfsten from Columbus Crew. The Championship club could pay up to $7.5m including add-ons, while Columbus will retain a percentage of any future sale.

Arfsten is expected to travel for formalities before joining USMNT teammates Sebastian Berhalter and Aidan Morris. If every add-on is reached, the deal would become the third-largest outgoing transfer in Columbus Crew history and another major MLS export.

Barcelona, Club Brugge and Jesse Bisiwu

Barcelona have officially signed 18-year-old Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge on a contract running until June 2031. The highly rated attacker has represented Belgium’s youth teams and impressed at the 2025 European Under-17 Championship.

Bisiwu developed at Leuven and Club Brugge before recording 36 appearances for reserve side Club NXT. His pace, strength and dribbling earned Barcelona’s attention, with the youngster expected to be presented at the club’s headquarters.

Kian Fitz-Jim, Ajax and Torino

Ajax have confirmed midfielder Kian Fitz-Jim has completed a permanent move to Torino. Reports place the transfer fee between €3m and €4m, with the 22-year-old expected to sign a contract running until the summer of 2030.

Fitz-Jim leaves after recording seven goals and two assists across 72 first-team appearances for Ajax. The academy graduate now moves into Serie A with Torino, who finished 12th last season and have yet to announce his arrival.

Nabil Bentaleb and Lille

Lille have confirmed that Algeria midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has signed a new contract running until summer 2028. The 31-year-old remains a central figure after making 81 appearances and returning from the 2026 World Cup this summer.

Bentaleb said his ambitions remain aligned with Lille and described staying as the logical choice after the club supported his career. His renewal secures leadership and midfield experience before Lille begin their next Champions League campaign.

Bournemouth, Benfica and Antonio Silva

Bournemouth have agreed a deal worth nearly £26m for Benfica centre-back Antonio Silva. The Portugal international is travelling for a medical after the clubs settled on an initial £21.4m payment plus £4.3m in add-ons.

The 22-year-old was targeted to replace Marcos Senesi following his free transfer to Tottenham. Silva brings Champions League and international experience, while Bournemouth hope the signing adds stability after selling more than £200m of players last summer.

Marcus Rashford, Manchester United and Barcelona

Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United after Barcelona decided not to activate their €30m purchase option. The England forward publicly thanked the Spanish champions after contributing 14 goals and 14 assists during his season-long loan.

Barcelona’s additions of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi have reduced the prospect of another deal. Rashford is expected at United training in August, although reintegration under Michael Carrick remains uncertain and the club could seek about €40m.

Arsenal, Newcastle United and Bruno Guimaraes

Arsenal are increasingly confident of signing Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes following Eddie Howe’s expected departure. No fee has been agreed, but sources expect a transfer worth more than £70m as the Premier League champions strengthen their midfield.

Newcastle initially intended to keep the Brazil international but are now said to recognise his desire to leave. Howe’s exit follows the sales of Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali, increasing Arsenal’s belief that negotiations can produce an agreement.

Roma, Feyenoord and Givairo Read

Roma have submitted a bid worth at least €25m for Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read and opened negotiations with the Dutch club. The 20-year-old has already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with the Serie A side.

A Roma delegation plans to travel to Rotterdam to accelerate the deal, while Nottingham Forest continue monitoring after three rejected offers. Feyenoord’s willingness to negotiate puts Roma in front, but no final club agreement has been completed.

John Stones, Inter Milan and Manchester City

John Stones has officially joined Serie A champions Inter Milan on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City. The 32-year-old England defender signed a two-year contract, completing the move after attracting interest from Chelsea, Juventus and other European clubs.

Stones leaves City after 295 appearances and six Premier League titles, alongside Champions League and domestic cup success. Inter add an experienced defender for their title defence, while the transfer closes a ten-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.

Fulham, Real Madrid and Gonzalo Garcia

Fulham have agreed a €40m transfer with Real Madrid for Spain forward Gonzalo Garcia. The clubs are also close to a separate deal for 21-year-old midfielder Cesar Palacios, another player familiar to new Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa.

Garcia scored six La Liga goals in limited minutes last season but faced competition from Kylian Mbappe. Arbeloa previously coached both players at Real Madrid Castilla, giving Fulham a strong connection as they rebuild their attacking and midfield options.
