Al-Ittihad, Neom and Fares Abedi

Al-Ittihad have officially signed Saudi left-back Fares Abedi from Neom, completing their second addition of the summer. The experienced defender arrives to fill a squad gap created after Mario Mitaj joined Italian club Genoa on loan.
Abedi has previously represented Al-Wehda, Al-Qadsiah, Al-Fayha and Neom, giving him extensive familiarity with Saudi football. Al-Ittihad expect his defensive discipline and attacking support to strengthen the left side before domestic and continental competition begins.
