Bay FC, Arsenal and Jenna Nighswonger

Bay FC have agreed a deal worth around $200,000 to sign United States full-back Jenna Nighswonger from Arsenal. The transfer returns the Olympic gold medallist to the NWSL after a difficult spell in England and a loan at Aston Villa.
Aston Villa declined their purchase option after Nighswonger made eight league appearances during her loan. Bay FC are rebuilding under Emma Coates and add a player who previously won the NWSL Championship and Rookie of the Year award with Gotham.
