Southampton were expelled from the Championship play-offs after admitting multiple breaches involving unauthorised filming of opponents’ training sessions. Middlesbrough were reinstated and will now face Hull City at Wembley for Premier League promotion.
The EFL said Southampton admitted breaches involving Oxford United, Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough. The club also received a four-point deduction for next season, but Southampton are appealing the decision before Saturday’s revised play-off final.
