Henderson Injures Wrist in Celebrations

Jordan Henderson and England
After England’s win over Mexico

Jordan Henderson suffered a serious-looking wrist injury while celebrating England’s 3-2 World Cup win over Mexico. The 36-year-old midfielder appeared to fall awkwardly from the advertising hoardings and left the pitch on a stretcher after full-time.

Thomas Tuchel said Henderson was taken to hospital and would not travel back with the squad immediately. The injury further reduces England’s available depth before the Norway quarter-final, with Reece James sidelined and Quansah suspended.
