Arsenal Sign Stanway From Bayern

Arsenal Women have signed England midfielder Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich. The 27-year-old returns to the WSL after four years in Germany, where she won eight trophies after leaving Manchester City in 2022 to strengthen Arsenal’s midfield.

Stanway said Arsenal’s ambition and fanbase made the move right for her next step. Head coach Renee Slegers said the Lionesses midfielder adds experience, winning mentality and a new dimension before a major campaign ahead.

Bournemouth have agreed a package worth up to £25.7m for Elche striker Alvaro Rodriguez. The 21-year-old Uruguay youth international is set for a medical before signing a five-year deal at the Vitality Stadium next week.

The Cherries are strengthening after Europa League qualification and the departure of Andoni Iraola to Liverpool. Real Madrid will receive 50% of the fee after selling Rodriguez to Elche last summer with that clause included.

Rennes Agree Cresswell Transfer

Rennes are close to signing English centre-back Charlie Cresswell from Toulouse after agreeing a €28m package. The former Leeds defender has also negotiated a major salary offer after two strong seasons in Ligue 1 this summer.

Premier League clubs showed interest but did not formalise moves, allowing Rennes to push ahead. Toulouse are set for a big profit after signing Cresswell for €4.5m and previously rejecting a €23m offer from Wolfsburg.

Onana Returns to Trabzonspor on Loan

Manchester United have confirmed Andre Onana has rejoined Trabzonspor on loan for the 2026-27 season. The agreement contains no purchase option, while the Turkish club will cover his wages and pay a loan fee this term.

Onana had been due back for pre-season but had no realistic route to reclaiming United’s number-one spot under Michael Carrick. The move follows his Turkish Cup-winning spell last season and leaves United assessing backup goalkeeper depth.

Onana Signs Trabzonspor Loan Papers

Andre Onana has reportedly signed paperwork for a second straight loan spell at Trabzonspor. Manchester United and the Turkish club are finalising a £1.3m agreement that would keep the goalkeeper away from Carrington this season.

Trabzonspor will cover most of Onana’s wages but have no purchase option next summer. The deal follows his strong first loan in Turkey, where he played 34 matches, kept six clean sheets and won the Turkish Cup.

Enzo Fernandez Agent Opens Exit Door

Enzo Fernandez’s agent says the Chelsea midfielder is exploring options to leave the club this summer. Javier Pastore said there is nothing firm or confirmed, but admitted they are looking at possible exits while Fernandez plays at the World Cup.

Chelsea still expect Fernandez to report for pre-season and are not keen to sell a player contracted until 2032. The comments come as Xabi Alonso begins work as manager and Real Madrid links remain alive.

Hull City have signed Jack Butland from Rangers for an undisclosed fee. The 33-year-old goalkeeper becomes the promoted club’s first summer arrival, agreeing a two-year contract with an option for another season in the Premier League.

Hull moved for experience after selling Ivor Pandur to Rangers to avoid a PSR breach. Butland played every minute of Rangers’ league campaign last season and now returns to the Premier League with a promoted side.

Everton have signed Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough for at least £16m. The 24-year-old midfielder, named Championship player of the season, has agreed a five-year deal after leaving his boyhood club this summer for Goodison Park.

Hackney had one year left on his Middlesbrough contract after their play-off final defeat to Hull. Everton moved to strengthen midfield with a proven Championship performer who developed at Boro from under-10 level before breaking through.

Atletico Agree Hjulmand Terms

Atletico Madrid have reportedly reached personal terms with Sporting CP captain Morten Hjulmand. The Spanish club have shifted towards the Denmark midfielder after moving away from Joao Gomes amid a breakdown involving Jorge Mendes this summer.

Atletico still need to agree a fee with Sporting, with the package expected around €35m to €40m. Diego Simeone wants midfield reinforcement and Hjulmand is said to be ready for a new challenge in Spain.
