Newcastle have completed the signing of 18-year-old Ajax midfielder Sean Steur in a deal worth up to £23m. The Netherlands youth international has signed a five-year contract and joins as part of Newcastle’s younger recruitment push.
Steur landed on Tyneside, completed his medical and called the Premier League move a childhood dream. Eddie Howe praised his Ajax development, while Newcastle continue rebuilding after selling Sandro Tonali and facing uncertainty over Bruno Guimaraes.
