Real Madrid, AEK Athens, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé and Federico Valverde
4 November 2026
Real Madrid defeated AEK Athens 3-2 after twice falling behind, maintaining their perfect Champions League record of four victories from four matches. Federico Valverde scored the stoppage-time winner.
Aboubakary Koita gave AEK the lead before Bellingham equalised with a backheel from Marc Cucurella’s cross. Stavro Pilo restored the hosts’ advantage in the 75th minute, but Mbappé levelled three minutes later. Valverde then struck from outside the box to secure victory. Bellingham also became the youngest player to score in seven consecutive Champions League campaigns.
Why It Matters
Madrid preserve their perfect European start and remain among the league-phase leaders.
