Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany was taken to hospital after collapsing while watching the club’s reserve team train. The 40-year-old, who had been suffering from a virus, was reported to be in stable condition.
Bayern confirmed that Kompany is undergoing medical examinations and will remain under medical supervision. He had already missed a press conference before the Champions League draw against Arsenal but attended that match. Assistant Aaron Danks and the remaining coaching staff will oversee first-team activities until further notice. Bayern have not announced when Kompany will return.
