FIFA says the host country for the 2030 World Cup final will be decided in due course, directly countering Moroccan federation president Fouzi Lakjaa’s claim that the match will be staged at the planned Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane.
Morocco and Spain are both pressing their cases for the final, but FIFA has not awarded hosting rights to either. Spain is promoting the Bernabeu and Camp Nou, while Morocco’s 115,000-seat Hassan II Stadium remains under construction near Casablanca.
