Everton, Crystal Palace, Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson
Monday
Everton and Crystal Palace have agreed a straight swap involving Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson. Both wingers are expected to undergo medicals before signing initial four-year contracts, reviving McNeil’s move to Selhurst Park after a failed January transfer.
McNeil will leave Everton after four seasons, while Johnson moves to Goodison only months after joining Palace from Tottenham. The unusual exchange will be treated as two separate transfers and must satisfy Premier League fair-market-value and squad-cost rules.
