Tottenham have agreed a deal worth up to £100m with Newcastle for Sandro Tonali. The package includes an initial £92.5m plus £7.5m in add-ons, making the Italy midfielder another record-breaking move for Spurs.
Roberto de Zerbi pushed for Tonali as Tottenham accelerate a major rebuild after two straight 17th-place finishes. Newcastle are now selling to reinvest, with the midfielder’s exit following other high-profile departures from St James’ Park.
