Iran’s football federation says its official fan ticket allocation for the World Cup group stage has been revoked. The FFIRI said it had already started selling tickets before being told it could no longer provide seats to supporters.
Iran accused organisers of blocking fans from attending matches against New Zealand, Belgium and Egypt in the United States. The dispute follows visa issues, a moved training base and wider political tension around Iran’s participation.
