Gerry Cardinale has confirmed that RedBird Capital Partners is exploring a possible acquisition of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, where Cristiano Ronaldo currently plays. Discussions remain preliminary, with no agreement announced.
Cardinale told Gazzetta dello Sport that he had been approached to assess the opportunity and was interested in meeting Ronaldo to understand his plans after retirement. Al-Nassr is currently owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. RedBird already has ownership interests in AC Milan and Toulouse, making regulatory and multi-club ownership considerations relevant to any future deal.
