Airdrieonians appointed John Rankin as their new head coach after relegation to Scottish League 1 through the play-offs. Rankin replaces Aaron Taylor-Sinclair and arrives after a short interim spell with Ayr United.
Rankin said the squad is close to a blank canvas, with only a handful of players in place. His task is to rebuild quickly after Airdrie parted ways with Taylor-Sinclair and dropped into the third tier.
