Chelsea defender Maxence Lacroix could be sidelined until January after suffering a serious hamstring injury against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. The summer signing may miss as many as ten matches.
Lacroix sustained the injury while sprinting to block a shot during Wednesday’s cup defeat. Alonso confirmed he would miss at least several weeks, although the exact recovery timeline remains uncertain. Chelsea are already short of defensive options, with Jorrel Hato and Aaron Anselmino also injured.
