Sheffield United have re-signed Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips on a season-long loan. The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season at Bramall Lane but managed only three appearances after suffering a knee injury.
Both clubs maintained contact throughout the summer and Phillips made clear that returning was his preferred move. Sheffield United gain an experienced midfielder determined to restart after injury, while Manchester City move on another player outside their immediate plans.
