Joel Ordonez’s proposed move from Club Brugge to Crystal Palace has run into complications after his medical. Palace had agreed an initial loan with an option to buy, but tests found his existing broken metatarsal was worse than initially believed.
Palace knew Ordonez was recovering from the foot injury when negotiations began, but the medical changed their assessment of its severity. The club must now decide whether to proceed while also dealing with Chadi Riad’s serious defensive injury.
