St. Louis City are nearing a deal worth around $12 million for Colorado Rapids striker Rafael Navarro, with broad terms agreed but final details unresolved. The fee would set a new record for a transfer between Major League Soccer clubs.
Navarro became St. Louis’ leading summer target after scoring consistently for Colorado, including 11 goals and five assists this season. A completed trade would also allow the Rapids to convert part of the fee into allocation money and open a Designated Player slot.
