Fulham, Southampton and Shea Charles

Fulham have agreed a deal worth up to £30m for Northern Ireland midfielder Shea Charles. The 22-year-old is set to sign a five-year contract, with Fulham paying £26m upfront and another £4m in performance-related add-ons.
The transfer would make Charles the most expensive Northern Irish footballer ever. Fulham moved ahead after Southampton previously rejected multiple Leeds bids above £20m, adding another central midfielder while Sasa Lukic prepares to leave for newly promoted Ipswich Town.
