James Rodriguez Retires From Colombia Duty

James Rodriguez announced his retirement from Colombia after a 15-year international career, ending with 131 appearances, 31 goals and 43 assists. The 35-year-old represented his country at multiple World Cups and captained Colombia during the 2026 tournament.

James made his senior debut in 2011 and won the Golden Boot at the 2014 World Cup with six goals. His final Colombia appearance came in July’s World Cup round-of-16 defeat to Switzerland, before his recent club move to Atletico Nacional.
