UEFA banned Turan Tovuz from the Conference League after their qualification triggered eligibility checks linked to a match-fixing case. The Azerbaijani club had earned a European place by finishing third in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
The ban relates to a 2019 Azerbaijan FA disciplinary ruling that gave seven Turan Tovuz players lifetime football bans for match manipulation. The club said it will appeal UEFA’s decision to CAS.
