Turkish Football Federation and officials from Turkey’s top two football divisions
20 October 2026
The Turkish Football Federation has banned 147 football officials after finding they breached regulations prohibiting betting while holding positions within the sport. The sanctions follow a wider investigation involving 448 people who were provisionally suspended in September.
The federation’s disciplinary board examined allegations involving individuals who held positions at clubs in Turkey’s top two divisions over the previous five years. It found sufficient grounds to sanction 147 people, while the remaining 301 cases did not result in disciplinary action. The decision is part of an ongoing crackdown on gambling-related breaches after 149 referees and 1,204 players received bans in November 2025.
