FIFA has said it intends to answer UEFA’s questions concerning president Gianni Infantino’s governance decisions but has not committed to meeting the 2 November deadline. The response follows UEFA’s demand for explanations about FIFA’s abandoned World Cup investment proposal and several controversial decisions.

UEFA requested documents and answers before the deadline for candidates to enter the 2027 FIFA presidential election. FIFA responded that its governance regulations require confidentiality for Council meetings and related documents, stating that it would not publicly disclose internal communications. The questions cover the private investment proposal, Folarin Balogun’s disciplinary case, the World Cup final and concerns about the independence of FIFA’s presidential election process. The dispute remains unresolved.
