João Pedro was named Chelsea Player of the Season shortly after being left out of Brazil’s World Cup squad. The forward won more than 60 percent of the fan vote after a strong debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
João Pedro finished ahead of Enzo Fernández and Moisés Caicedo after producing 15 Premier League goals and five assists. Carlo Ancelotti still omitted him from Brazil’s squad, choosing Neymar and other forwards instead.
