Arsenal opened their Champions League campaign with a 1-0 away win over Napoli after Martin Odegaard scored a late winner. The Premier League champions dominated possession and chances but needed their captain’s 75th-minute strike to finally break Napoli’s defensive resistance.
Arsenal recorded 26 shots, their most in a Champions League match since records began in 2003-04, while Napoli faced their highest total in that period. Odegaard converted Christos Tzolis’ assist as Mikel Arteta’s side claimed three points in Naples.
