Neymar has announced his retirement from international football following Brazil’s last-16 elimination at the 2026 World Cup. The 34-year-old said his journey with the national team was over after four tournaments and an injury-affected final campaign.
The Santos forward leaves as Brazil’s all-time leading scorer with 80 goals in 130 appearances. His decision ends repeated speculation about a possible 2030 World Cup return and closes an international career that began at senior level in 2010.
