United States, Giovanni Reyna, Jack McGlynn and Mauricio Pochettino
7 November 2026
United States midfielder Giovanni Reyna has withdrawn from the November international squad through injury. Stoke City midfielder Jack McGlynn has been called up as his replacement for the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal against Haiti.
Reyna sustained an apparent left-thigh injury during Strasbourg’s 3-1 defeat to Toulouse on Friday. He scored in the 67th minute but requested a substitution three minutes later and left the pitch. U.S. Soccer subsequently confirmed his withdrawal without specifying the full extent of the injury. McGlynn joins the squad for matches scheduled on 14 and 17 November.
Why It Matters
Reyna's confirmed withdrawal forces the United States to adjust their midfield options immediately before the Haiti quarterfinal.
