Al-Ahli midfielder Eduard Spertsyan faces an uncertain recovery after suffering an injury against Al-Sadd in the AFC Champions League Elite. His availability for the Jeddah derby against Al-Ittihad later this month is in doubt.
Spertsyan was forced off during the match and subsequently underwent medical examinations. Estimates of his recovery range from approximately 10 days to four weeks. Al-Ahli’s medical staff are coordinating with Armenia’s national-team doctors on his rehabilitation, and he is expected to miss the upcoming international camp. No definitive return date has been announced.
