Aberdeen have sold Finland winger Topi Keskinen to Danish side Odense for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old leaves Pittodrie after 89 appearances, nine goals and a Scottish Cup winners’ medal across two seasons.

Manager Stephen Robinson said Keskinen wanted to explore other opportunities and Odense made a very good offer that met Aberdeen’s valuation. Aberdeen had prepared for the departure and will now move to replacement plans in the transfer market.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Niamh Charles

Manchester City have signed England defender Niamh Charles from Chelsea for £500,000 on a three-year deal. The 27-year-old leaves Stamford Bridge after six years, 173 appearances and multiple domestic trophies with the WSL rivals.

Charles strengthens City’s defence after Leila Ouahabi’s exit and adds Champions League experience to the WSL champions. The move also gives her a clearer route to regular football before next year’s World Cup with England.

Manchester United, Atalanta and Ederson

Manchester United’s £35m move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson is in doubt after medical tests reportedly showed an issue. One source told BBC Sport the deal is off, although both clubs deny any final decision has been made.

United had planned to complete the transfer after Brazil’s World Cup exit, but there has been no progress since. The uncertainty adds pressure after United missed out on Elliot Anderson and Mateus Fernandes before agreeing other midfield moves.

Manchester City have agreed a £12.5m deal to sign 17-year-old Leicester winger Jeremy Monga, beating Arsenal and Brentford to one of England’s most highly rated academy prospects. The deal is not complete yet, but City are now in front.

The move accelerated under Enzo Maresca, who worked with Monga at Leicester and pushed City’s interest. Leicester’s relegation to League One leaves them vulnerable, while Monga’s new professional contract means a transfer fee is required.

Manchester City have re-signed goalkeeper Pierce Charles from Sheffield Wednesday in a package worth up to £10m. The Northern Ireland international has signed a long-term contract but will immediately spend the season on loan at Queens Park Rangers.

Charles originally came through City’s academy before moving to Wednesday in 2021, where he made 21 appearances last season. The QPR loan gives the 20-year-old regular Championship football while City monitor his long-term development.

Crystal Palace, Celta Vigo and Oscar Mingueza

Crystal Palace have signed Spanish defender Oscar Mingueza on a free transfer from Celta Vigo, subject to international clearance. The 27-year-old has agreed a four-year contract and becomes Pierre Sage’s first summer signing at Selhurst Park.

Mingueza offers versatility, La Masia pedigree and senior Spain experience after 147 Celta appearances with seven goals and 15 assists. Palace chairman Steve Parish said his quality and character make him a strong fit for the squad.

Cole Campbell, Borussia Dortmund and Elversberg

American forward Cole Campbell has joined Bundesliga newcomers Elversberg from Borussia Dortmund on a contract through June 2030 this summer. Reports in Germany say the promoted club are paying around €6m for the 20-year-old winger.

Campbell came through Dortmund’s development pathway after arriving from Iceland in 2022 and spent part of last season on loan at Hoffenheim. Elversberg praised his pace and one-on-one threat as they prepare for top-flight football.

Manchester United are close to signing Wales goalkeeper Karl Darlow on a free transfer after his Leeds United exit. The 35-year-old would add experienced cover behind Senne Lammens as Michael Carrick reshapes his goalkeeping group.

Darlow’s arrival is expected to trigger Altay Bayindir’s departure, while Radek Vitek is also likely to leave on loan or permanently. United want extra depth before pre-season begins against Wrexham in Helsinki on 18 July.

McGuire gives Houston a proven MLS scorer after 23 goals across his first two seasons, although injuries slowed his last 18 months. Orlando’s attack has changed after Antoine Griezmann’s arrival, creating room for the deal.
