West Ham United, Scott Parker and Nuno Espírito Santo
4 November 2026
West Ham have officially appointed Scott Parker as head coach on a two-and-a-half-year contract. The former club midfielder replaces Nuno Espírito Santo, who was dismissed following a disappointing start to the Championship season.
Parker returns after previously guiding Fulham, Bournemouth and Burnley to Premier League promotion. West Ham sit eighth in the Championship, six points behind leaders Middlesbrough. Parker will take charge for the trip to Cardiff City, supported by Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville and Billy Lepine, with sporting director Mark Noble also involved.
Why It Matters
West Ham have secured a manager with three Championship promotions as they pursue an immediate return to the Premier League.
