Real Madrid, Manchester United and JJ Gabriel
4 November 2026
Real Madrid are confident of signing 16-year-old Manchester United forward JJ Gabriel after reportedly reaching a verbal agreement with the youngster and his representatives. The transfer has not been completed.
Gabriel has not returned to United since leaving in September and has been training independently in Spain. Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain were also interested, but Madrid now expect to secure his signature in January. His European Union passport could simplify the move. No club-to-club agreement exists, and United would be entitled to compensation if he leaves.
Why It Matters
Manchester United risk losing one of their leading academy prospects to Real Madrid.
