Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest son has received his first call-up to Portugal’s Under-17 national team. The 16-year-old Al-Nassr academy forward was included in Filipe Ramos’ 23-man squad for European Championship qualifying.
Ronaldo Júnior progresses to the Under-17 level after previously representing Portugal at Under-15 and Under-16 level. Portugal will face Andorra on 11 November, Bulgaria on 14 November and Serbia on 17 November, with all three qualifiers taking place in Lisbon. His inclusion does not guarantee a starting place.
