FIFA has offered council members access to selected documents concerning its abandoned World Cup commercial privatisation proposal, just before UEFA’s disclosure deadline.
FIFA told members they could inspect key documents in person at its Zurich headquarters under strict confidentiality protocols. UEFA had demanded answers about the FIFA Forward Enterprise proposal and its governance. FIFA has not identified exactly which documents will be available and says a fuller written response is still being prepared.
Why It Matters
Restricted disclosure could prolong the governance dispute ahead of FIFA's presidential election.
