Al-Shabab demolished Al-Ahli 6-1 in the Saudi Pro League, with Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco scoring a hat-trick and providing an assist. The victory marked one of the biggest results in their recent rivalry.
Carrasco scored from a free-kick in the first half before converting two second-half penalties. He also assisted Ricardo Matias with a cross. The treble was Carrasco’s second in the Saudi league and made him only the second player since 2009-10 to score a hat-trick in this fixture, according to Opta.
Why It Matters
The heavy defeat intensifies pressure on Al-Ahli while strengthening Al-Shabab's confidence.
