Napoli, Massimiliano Allegri and Lega Serie A
26 October 2026
Napoli have confirmed they will appeal the two-match touchline suspension handed to manager Massimiliano Allegri following Saturday’s 3-3 draw against Roma. Allegri also received a €10,000 fine for his conduct towards match officials and an opposing staff member.
Allegri was sent off after protesting Leonardo Balerdi’s late equaliser, which he believed should have been disallowed for a foul on Sam Beukema. The disciplinary report cited insulting remarks and aggressive conduct. Napoli requested the relevant documents before submitting an appeal. Unless the suspension is reduced or overturned, Allegri will miss the league matches against Monza and Juventus.
Why It Matters
Napoli risk being without their manager on the touchline for two important league fixtures.
