Wales handed Cardiff City forward Cian Ashford his first senior call-up for their Nations League return, while first-choice centre-back Joe Rodon was ruled out with a hamstring injury. Dylan Lawlor also misses the 28-man squad because of a knee problem.
Harry Wilson, Jordan James and Ben Cabango return after missing June’s friendlies, with Wes Burns also recalled. Craig Bellamy’s side face Portugal, Denmark and Norway during a four-game window beginning in Lisbon on September 24.
