Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Ecuadorian teenager Josue Caicedo on an initial loan from LDU Quito. The 18-year-old left-back will join Barca Atletic for the 2026-27 season, with an option to buy included in the deal.
The move strengthens Juliano Belletti’s reserve squad and continues Barcelona’s push into South American youth recruitment. Caicedo is described as an attacking full-back with physical power, explosive pace and versatility on the left side long term.
