Trinity Rodman and Washington Spirit
Friday at Audi Field
Trinity Rodman scored twice, including a stoppage-time winner, as Washington Spirit beat Houston Dash 2-1 in the NWSL’s first regular-season match after a month-long break. The brace moved her to five goals this season.
Rodman opened the scoring from Leicy Santos’ long pass before Houston equalised late through Kate Faasse. She then struck in the 94th minute through traffic, lifting Washington to within one point of the league lead.
