Manchester City have confirmed Beth Mead’s free-transfer signing from Arsenal on a three-year deal. The England forward leaves after nine years in north London, where she won the Women’s Super League, Champions League and three League Cups.
City are strengthening after winning the WSL title and want Mead to add quality around Lauren Hemp, Kerolin and Khadija Shaw. The move also reunites Mead with Vivianne Miedema and follows City’s agreed deal for Niamh Charles.
