Guglielmo Vicario has joined Juventus after Tottenham accepted a loan deal with a non-mandatory purchase option. Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti publicly welcomed the Italy goalkeeper, describing him as a top-class signing and confirming that the move has been completed.
Juventus switched to Vicario after their pursuit of Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez collapsed. Tottenham had already promoted Antonin Kinsky to first choice, giving the 29-year-old a route back to Serie A and Juventus an experienced alternative in goal.
