Kevin Danso, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur

Sunderland have agreed a season-long loan for Tottenham defender Kevin Danso, with an option to make the move permanent. Spurs had rejected Sunderland’s initial proposal but reopened negotiations after securing a replacement for the Austria international.
Tottenham’s imminent permanent signing of Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo unlocked Danso’s departure. Spurs previously refused to release the 27-year-old without another defender arriving, while Danso had already asked to leave the club before the deadline.
