Bernardo Silva, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Jose Mourinho
17 June 2026
Bernardo Silva has joined Real Madrid on a two-year contract after leaving Manchester City as a free agent. The Portugal midfielder becomes another major signing in Jose Mourinho’s rebuild after Marc Cucurella’s move from Chelsea.
Silva ended a trophy-heavy nine-year spell at City and had also been linked with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Madrid are still targeting defensive reinforcements, with Denzel Dumfries and Ibrahima Konate also part of their plans.
