Manchester City have confirmed an agreement to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116m, making the England midfielder the most expensive British player in history once formalities are completed after his World Cup involvement ends.
The deal gives Enzo Maresca his first major signing of the post-Guardiola era. City view Anderson as a complete midfield fit, while Forest receive a record fee and now need to replace a key player.
