Hector Fort, Barcelona and Real Sociedad

Barcelona have officially transferred 20-year-old defender Hector Fort to Real Sociedad for €8.5 million in exchange for 50 percent of his rights. Barcelona also retained a buy-back option and a percentage of any future transfer involving the academy graduate.
Fort leaves after 13 years at Barcelona and a loan spell with Elche, where a shoulder injury required surgery. Real Sociedad beat competing interest for the right-back, while Barcelona structured the deal to preserve future control over his development and value.
