Barcelona have completed the permanent signing of Egypt striker Hamza Abdelkarim from Al Ahly for an initial €1.5 million. The 18-year-old impressed after joining on loan and has now earned a place in Egypt’s World Cup squad.
Abdelkarim will wear Egypt’s number nine shirt alongside Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush in North America. His rapid rise from Barcelona’s youth side to senior international football makes the deal a low-cost, high-upside move for them.
