Granit Xhaka was named in Switzerland’s World Cup squad and is set to play at the tournament for a fourth time. The Sunderland captain remains Switzerland’s most capped player and will lead an experienced 26-man group.
Murat Yakin selected Xhaka alongside Premier League players Dan Ndoye, Noah Okafor and Zeki Amdouni for the final tournament squad. Switzerland will prepare with friendlies against Jordan and Australia before group matches against Qatar, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Canada.
