Joshua Kushner says he regrets becoming involved in FIFA’s scrapped Forward Enterprise investment proposal, which would have sold 20 percent of a new commercial subsidiary for a planned $4.2 billion investment led by his firm Thrive Eternal.

Kushner said he underestimated global football’s political dynamics while still defending the plan’s stated aims. His comments came after UEFA sought New York court approval for subpoenas involving Kushner and Thrive as it considers a criminal complaint against Gianni Infantino.
