Jordanian football association president Prince Ali accused FIFA of effectively blackmailing his organisation over Gianni Infantino’s re-election. He claimed unpaid Arab Cup prize money and other requests were linked verbally to Jordan endorsing the FIFA president.
Prince Ali said Jordan also sought help with supporter visas and unexpected United States tax liabilities. He rejected any endorsement, while the allegation adds a direct ethical accusation to the wider crisis surrounding Infantino’s leadership and governance.
