Gianni Infantino and senior FIFA leaders
Wednesday
Gianni Infantino has summoned senior FIFA leaders to an executive meeting in Morocco as criticism intensifies over the abandoned private-investment proposal. Arsene Wenger, Mattias Grafstrom and other senior figures have publicly distanced themselves from the project.
The meeting follows internal claims that staff were excluded or deceived, alongside legal threats and withdrawn election support. Infantino is expected to address the governance breakdown while attempting to stabilise his presidency and FIFA’s divided leadership.
